DAG and different site

I have exchange servers in 2 sites, different subnet. If I create a DAG in site A, it will show up imeediately in site A, but it will take quite a while to show up it Site B.  I used the command :

get-databaseavailabiltygroup

is it normal? the 2 sites are actually quite close to each other, in the same country.
