Hello,
We're having an issue with folks using Outlook 2007 to schedule appointments/meetings and not being able to see Free/Busy info after a migration from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. We've retained the distribution groups from Exchange 2003/AD 2003 and we'd like to assign a Universal Security Group (which consists of a few hundred people) to be able and view/edit Calendar resources in Outlook/Exchange. This has been an ongoing issue for quite some time, and recently discovered that if individual users are assigned to the resources with permissions, they can see Free/Busy info, but not when the entire Distribution Security group is assigned.
Our questions is, if a Universal Security Group cannot be used to assigned "global" permissions to a resource, what kind of a group can be used to grant permissions all at once instead of individually adding hundreds of users to a resource? Or, is the security distribution group incorrectly migrated from 2003 to 2010?
Please assist in shedding some light on this matter.
Thank you.
